What is the part number to the nut that holds the wastegate on? Can not find it on the diagram. It is a M8 stud coming off the manifold for the elbo. Fastenal nor mcmaster have one with a 10mm head so have to order from bmw but can not find the number.

Re: wastegate nut
Should be the same nut as #13 in the top diagram which fits the identical #10 stud on the side of the housing.

The housing is held on with 11621273590 (#9 second drawing) and #10 in the first is for the exhaust. Wanting to be 100% sure before I start ordering $10 each nuts.

Good luck to you. You should probably search google images for 745i turbos.
Re: wastegate nut
Regular m8 nuts work just fine.
Re: wastegate nut
no they do not. The clearance is to small for a regular m8. Standard m8 is 13mm wide and the stock ones are 10mm wide. Mcmaster carr and fastenal both do not have a 10mm wide in any m8x1.25 pitch nuts.demetk wrote:Regular m8 nuts work just fine.
Re: wastegate nut
I have a bunch of M106 hardware. Looking at some nuts right now. On closer examination they are all M10 for the manifold studs.
