Urgent help needed - center support bearing dust covers

Post by ctweber01 »

Damaged both dust covers removing center support bearing from driveshaft. Don’t ask.
Need to get this car back on road.
Only place I’ve found dust covers for sale is Pelican but they say over a week before they will ship.

Does anyone know the BMW part numbers and/or another source?

I appreciate your help!

You may have figured this out already. For anything that's not M5-specific, you're more likely to get a response in the "Tech Talk" section.

Anyhow, maybe I'm not understanding the question right, but are you talking about the rubber diaphragms in the CSB that fit between the actual bearing itself, and the frame of the CSB? That's all one part, and if you damaged the flexible rubber section, then you should replace the whole CSB.

EDIT: Here's a pic of the RealOEM diagram. I assume you're talking about items 8 & 14. The diagram has the PNs.
