Like the title says I’m in the market for an M535i. Will consider any condition. Thanks in advance!

Here you go:

I bought a 1989 E30 320is (the "Italian M3") from these guys last year. No problems with importation. Recommended.

Thanks Gray635, good to have personal recommendations. How much did importation cost you if you don’t mind me asking?

Oldenzaal Classics covered the cost of shipping to the port in Brunswick, GA as part of the listed price for the car, after a bit of negotiation. That was around $1,500 IIRC, on a RORO vessel. I was shocked that it wasn't more expensive than that. I've paid $2,500 for covered transport from CA to GA.

Import duty (2.5% of declared value) and port costs were about $2,500 or thereabouts.

Wow, that’s shockingly cheap! Was there a significant wait or charge to be titled once in the US? Thanks for the reply!

Not at all. They work with an experienced broker in Houston, Texas. All I needed was the Netherlands title (which Oldenzaal FedExed to me, along with the books and records) and the EPA release, which the broker emailed to me. No problems with getting the car titled in GA.

Good luck with your search. BTW, I owned a 1986 M535i a few years ago that Chris Kohler here on the board sourced for me. Great cars! Alpine white/cardinal. Now owned by dsmith here on the board.

Mohayoub I think we already chatted about bringing your Polaris Silver M535i to the states. Turned out shipping was close to $5k. Your car is beautiful though!
