Head came off a 1986 535i that ran fine. Reason for coming out was a broken rocker arm. Drove it with the broken rocker arm for 10k with no problems other than loss of power (minimal) and the noise (valve clack).
Head is straight and true and would be a great candidate for a NA or turbo build / camshaft swap.
