He acknowledged the issue in an update to the listing, says he's having it inspected. Could be he got scammed rather than being the original scammer.

Tim, you nailed it. Regardless of whether it's empty(now a very good possibility), what is it worth?

The updated post suggesting it's empty is not exactly common, and smells highly of the probability.

Well a quick check of RealOEM indicates it would be a steal at $2k if the block, heads and the rest of the components are new and in serviceable condition.

Here's a few prices from RealOEM, which we all know isn't the real pricing any longer. Most prices are actually higher.

Block $8420
Cyl Head $4900 each
Crank $4000

So it's worth some bucks to someone needing the parts.
