Beautiful car, but the point of this thread is to show examples of colors that were originally available.

So, roughly, what color is this? It's a badly faded e21, but It was the original from back in 1982.

What is that 3 legged creature behind the car? That thing looks scary!

I know it's already covered, but I so want to share my new addition.....
Mine is a 1985 528e (build date of 1/1985) in 199 Burgundrot.
5 speed, 122K ish
Not a bad repaint (8/10) -- is the factory color.

Someone send me a general Email outside this post and I can forward a photo of a pristine 86 535I with 48K on it. My office server won't let us attach the photo off the server.

Nice cars!
Zinnoberrot is a rare colour on an e28, I never see it in Holland. My e30 had this colour, when cleaned it looked fabulous.

Hey Guys! I've taken all the data from this thread and organized it differently.
http://web.me.com/derrick.duggins/The_1 ... olors.html
Tell me what you think! If anyone's image is up there and you don't want it there, please let me know, and I will remove it. I have some formatting issues to take care of, but other than that, I am very happy with it!
If you have a pic of a car in a color that's not there, please, send it!

Thanks! I've run into some formatting problems with the color list and have screwed up the page. Then got bored of editing a table endlessly and gave up for now. Will finish it this evening...
