Here is my M30 compression ratio calculator. It should help you out.

One Q, with such a light flywheel,
whats the torque like off the line?
or is it a rev happy donk with all go at the top end.
reason i'm asking, just about to fit a 17.7lb/8kg flywheel.
matched to a M5 box and a 3.25 diff.
the M5 has a rather tall 1st gear
and the big q will be if it's going to be a pig to keep from stalling

Turbo manifold help!!!! :(
hi, I have my M30 ready and all the turbo parts ready for 8 months now but cant get a hold of a manifold that fits the e30 m30 and is top mounted and can have enough space to fit the afm and filter in front! do you guys (Good & Tight) know where i can buy one ore do you have one I can buy?? Here in Honduras there are not many shops who can make them! Thanks alot

A lil update.
The cooling system was pressurizing after WOT 4th and fifth gear runs at 18psi so I pulled the head yesterday. It seams that whoever resurfaced it before left the surface too rough in some spots which caused it to leak under high load. I'm sure all the times it spiked to 22psi didn't help it either.
The stock gasket deff holds a good amount of pressure with the ARP's.
So my thoughts are to swap on a B35 head, MLS, with a Shrick 284/280 cam double springs, titanium keepers and see how much it can take.
Ordered a 4bar map sensor for the MS the other day.
Also cc'd the B35 head and it was 65cc compared to M90 which was 62cc. So compression will drop some which will be good for more boost.
The bottom end must have been rebuilt before, the pistons are stamped 91.97.
That's it for now

Do you already have the Schrick cam? I'm only asking because I'm interested in Paul Burke's turbo cam. Any thoughts on that?
Also, what makes you say the stock h.g. holds plenty of pressure, didn't yours just blow out? I'm using a B35 head, stock h.g. and studs but only running 10 psi now. More boost is coming and my thoughts are when the h.g. finally does go, I'll be trying another cam besides the B35.

Yes I have the cam but just want to try it on the stock bottom end to see were it makes the power and how much. The stock HG was fine when it was at 15psi and constantly beating on it but when I got the boost controller and it started spiking to 22psi and running 18psi it started to leak. Plus the timing was a bit aggressive along with brake boosting it really was the problem.
This is all a learning process for me

Change of plans, I ported the M90 head to match the B35 manifold.
Keep in mind this is just a test engine and was free so I consider this it's last hooray.
I felt the HX40 was at it's limit at 20psi and was too small and was creating back pressure plus boost came on to fast making the car hard to drive with traction issues.
So I have this Garrett laying around I wanted to try, yeah it's huge but what the heck, there is only one way to find out how it will spool.
It's a T6 flange but I redrilled it to bolt onto the T4

Compressor Inducer- 2.670"~68mm
Compressor Exducer- 3.700"~ 94mm
Exhaust Inducer- 3.500"~89mm
Exhaust Exducer- 3.025"~76mm
The turbine a/r is huge 1.54

I'd say you should retard the ignition timing around the torque peak 3500-4500 rpm and stay with what you got above that, maybe even increase it at 6000+ rpm.
The Garrett turbo is probably equal size to a Holset HX55 and it will help you from blowing up the motor in a way because your powerband will be 4000 rpm and up now, you'll spend less time at the torque peak.

Once back together it will see some dyno tuning for sure.
