Went to the 1/8 mile last night to get some runs in while tuning and to see how the M/T drag radials hook. I wasn't looking to break any records just get some seat time. Data logs recorded 144kpa which is 6.1psi right? Weird I have a 11# spring and some E85.

Best pass
reaction- .717
60ft - 2.088
Trap- 99.5
Elapsed time- 7.853

Made four passes all were pretty much the same, tires spinning 1st & 2nd until I decide to check the tire pressure, they were at 18psi. So I lowered them to 12psi which I thought they were originally. Did a small burnout just to clean them off, spun through 1st then when I grabbed 2nd they dead hooked and BAM CRUNCHITY CRUNCH

Going to try a set of slicks next, this spinning shit is not fun :(

Nice quick times! I wanna try to hit up the drag strip sometime this summer, it'll be my first time out! can't wait!

Only 6.2 - 11psi? You turned down the boost quite a bit...that cam must be great!

Nope. All six cyl e28's have the big boy axles. Same as the M30 and S38 powered cars.

Here's the datalog when the axle broke. Guess a stock M30 can be spun past 8k  I normally shift a little over 7k. lets see how long it lasts.

You know you can implement a fuel cut rev limiter right?

I dont think it'll do 8200 RPM more than once or twice.

Nice dude. The announcer seemed surprised a lowly little 318i could catch up. :) What was the challenging car?

It was a Z28 with slicks, everyone was pretty surprised that I caught up and passed him. Fun night, a lot of people coming over asking WTF is in that thing

Update, installed the 2nd 044 pump and got a pretty decent E85 tune now. No vids though, but I raced a R600 from 60-150 and crept past him around 140. Also raced a supercharged cobra with 150 shot of nitrous and beat him by 1/2 a car from 70-140.

What size injectors are you using? Can you tell us a little about the fuel system?

Injectors are 850cc, added a 2nd pick up to the fuel tank and used a Y block to run them parallel.

I'm in the middle of a 24V turbo swap in my other E30 so I haven't had time. Should have them on before the end of the year and head to the track, the DR are just about done now anyway from all the street racing  They have less than a 1000 miles on them

Hey Otis is that County Line Raceway?

I didn't know it was only 1/8th mile,
I haven't been there yet but I have seen it on the news and figured that is where you were running....

Just came back from the dyno, 17psi, couldn't get it fat enough up top, ends up a one of the 044's wasn't working so just one pump was pushing fuel. I'll check out to see what happened. Blue lines are from last year on pump gas stock cam and 14psi.

Once I get the other pump running car will deff make more power.
