Gave the underside a decent degreaser bath. Tired of getting unnecessarily grimy when I work on it.

Shadowlined and lipo'd the bumpers, shadowlined the window trim, drip rails and windshield lockstrips on the red car, then transferred all my paper over to the white car!

While driving my 1988 U.S. M6 a few moments ago, the yellow ANTI-LOCK light on the instrument panel lit up. The car died, but I was able to wrestle her to a safe parking spot.

I know I already said it, but I shadowlined my other e28 an hour ago! It didn't get Lipo since I need it to tow stuff. I will paint the bumpers black though.

Actually it was yesterday.

Changed the upper, blown, radiator hose in a parking lot beside the freeway.

Thank God my wife was at home and only about 10 minutes away.

Why did I take all my spare parts out of the trunk?

I removed the tint. I didn't mind it when I was outside looking in but inside looking out it was just too dark. Also, it was so dark that I had to lower the window just to flip people off.
I used a $10.00 steamer I got on Craigslist and it worked pretty well. If you apply the steam juuust right, the adhesive layer comes off with the tint. Thanks to ElGuappo and Nebraska_e28 for the steam tip.

I haven't done the rear window yet. It's going to take a lot of beer for that.

new water pump, and some new bolts. also found that im fairly certain a new battery is in the near future for this car...suckage, but such is life. i love working on the e28 but mostly only when its not because she broke down on me lol.

Drove it in hot weather yesterday. I am positive that everytime I drive in the heat I blow fuse number 5 (I believe, it controls the tach and OBC). Never blew it over winter, didn't blow it on the way back home last night when it had cooled off outside

I have no clue how ambient temperature can effect an electrical circuit

Got my suspesion swap half way done. I'll finish tomorrow. This is the first time in a year I've been able to afford get fun parts for the car. It's making me feel a lot better about the car in general.

Lubed up the window tracks, fixed the tail light, cleaned pine needles out of the interior lights

, cleaned out the trunk a little bit.
Dug an old bottle cap out of the barn for a spare, and discovered the spare tire well is dented in and the tire doesn't sit flat, thus the trunk carpet doesn't sit flat.
Also discovered a rust hole in the spare tire well

Not past repair....yet

Also found 4 door lock knobs in the parts car which made their way onto their respective places in the DD.
Installed a CD player as well, with no instructions or diagrams.

Now I need new (OEM) speakers and low power amp, but for now I'm just happy to have a working CD player

I am awesome.

Fixed a nagging, small ATF leak in the power steering (those small sections of 12X18 hose that connect to the cooling loop in front of the car - must have been original).

Started the euro bumper conversion! Woohoo. I've been wanting to get to this for years. US bumper and valance are off. Have test fit the later euro valance. So far, so good. I really should be swapping out the driveshaft and fixing the A/C, but I can't stand the US bumpers any longer!

Are these cars ever "done"?

Made a bracket and installed the fire extinguisher under the drivers side knee bolster, went to the wreckers and got a 260km/h speedo, and wound my taco back to 0km in prep for the 0km motor that's going into the car. Started on the wiring harness for the m106, and replaced the interior light lens.

Calculated that I got 14 MPG on the last tank

I knew I'd been punishing it a bit lately but DAMN. After finals I'll have to go over sensors and such with a fine toothed comb (no black smoke or anything, but it can't hurt).
