I am aware. I suspected a loose wire, as there had been some Recent Fiddling in the area behind the climate controls.

I've got a new blower motor as of two winters ago, and a new heater core & resistor pack as of about a month or so ago. So, the blower motor itself should be A-Ok for a while. Only had to replace the last one because one of the plastic fan blades grenade'd. The motor itself was still fine.

I need to get in there one of these days anyway, as my mechanic was back there, and left the lightbulb for the temp knob out / disconnected. Going to wait for warmer weather, though, as working outside this time of year is less enjoyable.

It's a Euro 528i I got from a friend of mine. I should probably start a thread on it but I don't have any great photos of it. It had been sitting since 1999.

Loaned out a tool. They were impressed.

Not a darned thing, except drove it to work. Fairly sure i'm going to plasti-dip my grills this weekend, though.

Bought a Magnaflow High Flow Cat had it installed and passed smog. Taking in out in the next couple days to go back to catless.

Pulled injectors and finally sent out, csv hose done and two other fuel lines. Made a list of things like to do before spring ( headrest working, new roof seals, install rear headrests, RR hub, rear diff mount etc)

Since we have nothing but 2 e28's I can still post this here I guess.

More work on Lindsey's car (85 eta 5 speed):

-fixed cruise control problem. clutch switch was not being engaged with the pedal up. I adjusted the switch and the bracket it mounts to.

-replaced cluster. Now she can accurately tell what her temp is and how much gas she has. More work on the cluster to come though.

-installed new black driver knee panel.

-installed new black glove box

-front side marker light bulb replacement. both sides

-new plastic gas cap to replace the stupid metal unit.

I warmed it up and drove it to work. Wish it would run smoothly again.

Replaced pitman arms ("dog bones"), fuel filter, ignition wires, fuses, instrument lightbulbs, license plate lights, front axle dust caps, and tightened her belt tensioners.

A week ago I did the odometer gears, turn signal stalk, shifter lever, put on new wheels (e38 basket weaves BNIB) and tires, and gave her an oil change.

Tomorrow, I'm taking her out to the car show.

replaced diff mount, ordered heater valve, ordered control arms for the front.

Ordered rear wheel bearings.
I do not look forward to this job, in an apartment carport with no compressor / impact.
I may just have to pull the trailing arms ( again) and send them out.

Removed power steering.

Engine was out, ALL new seals, painted everything, went through head

Got in it to drive it to work, but found the battery was dead. Back to the ETM.

walked up to it, touched it lightly, smelled it, started it, drove it, enjoyed it...

Research, research, research!

Swapped out the eta steering wheel for an e21 "Sports Pack" wheel.

Drove to turbo car to work for the first time in months. Too bad it's raining.

Didn't actually do the work today, but on Sunday. I replaced the leaking water pump and the 80C thermostat with a new 71C version. The old one was opening prematurely and not regulating the engine temperature. Even in the 30 degree temps yesterday morning the new 71 C thermostat allowed the engine to warm up properly. I also replaced the guts to the heater control valve and refilled the cooling system with genuine BMW coolant.

I also did some work on the exhaust system, replacing the rubber donuts which suspend the exhaust system , and repaired (welded) a cracked exhaust hanger.

Finished my e32 projector/hid install. Finished my brake "Bomb" Install.

Finally got around to replacing my wiper control stalk that I got from Shagrath. Thanks Matt. Now have low speed wipers again.

Since Friday (not including Saturday and Sunday), I've been installing a new subwoofer, radio, and bigger wiring. I've never taken out the back seats before, so I was pretty surprised at how heavy they were. Other than that, I started to lay down some 8 gauge speaker wiring from all the speakers and other associated cables that went to the sub. Dad helped me out with cutting up the tips of the wires to affix the proper plugs! Getting all that wire to hide neatly under the carpet on the driver's side, under the dash, and under the rear bench took a while, but when the time came to test out the whole thing, I'd say that I was quite satisfied with the outcome.

Now the Fiver's got a Blaupunkt 320 radio head, Infinity Basslink sub, and some RF/BA speakers (forgot which models). Compared to the stock unit that it came with, I'm happy that I now have a CD slot and USB input!

Drove it to & from work. In the rain.

And yes... for those of you that will ask, i cleaned my grounds and replaced my plastic bodied fuses for ceramic ones.

Purchased a new diff mount (528e unit) for $55, and purchased ONE Balo rear rotor for a whopping $19. Carquest in Berkeley. Apparently World-Pac is out of Balo rotors, and I was suprised that the one they had left was $19. Couldn't find another locally.

Anyone have a new rear Balo rotor to marry mine?
