I have pics of my cars, pics of other peoples cars, pics of me in other peoples cars, pics of my cars with my lil' one, but none of me in mine.
While I'm lost in the shadows, Darin O'Glen can clearly be seen driving. Soooooo, I'm barely in the shot, in the passenger seat, of a car neither of us own....
The car is Ron P's Alpina, and we're driving through 'The Pass' above Santa Barbara during the 2005 BimmerFest. He being
the man of many cars was driving his Euro M5 at the time.
An
goes to the photographer, as the shot is beautiful.
Now if I can just remember where the 2004 5erFest 'crew' shot was......

i decided to be like everyone else and post one of me in an engine compartment like those other guys. 8)

You want pictures? Oh do I have pictures. I'll let the guilty name themselves.
*HINT: the cute one ISN'T a board member, the other three are though.
I actually don't have any of myself online. I'm sure someone else does though.

Here's a couple of pics from 5er Fest #1 in Ft Worth. The car is my deceased '83 533i.
I'm the one with the hat. I don't remember who the individual is I was speaking with
I'm in the middle in this picture. Heath who owns an M635Csi is to my right and that's Duke to my left, showing off his backside.

Actually, Jon (on the left) is much taller and his car behind him is a darker color. The guy on the right is lovely Leonard, who used to drive an E28, but is now in the 3-series behind him.
Yours truly, at 66, I think I am the oldest guy here? Pictures from the Nat'l Capital Chapter BMW CCA 2006 concours event.

Here is a picture on me on one of the greatest auto related days of my life. This was the "ride and handling" test mule of the GT. We spent 8 hrs. on the Ford test track swapping out engine/trans mounts and driving back to back with a Ferrari 360 6-speed. I don't know which one I would take. The ergonomics of the 360 were right out of heaven like they were taylor made for me, but that freakin motor literally gave me a headache after 40 minutes. Granted we were doing a lot of WOT runs
. Suprisingly they both have pretty dead, over powered steering wheels, but the 360's turn in was much sharper.
Here is my gone but not forgotten M5. I know it turned out to be a turd, but it was still FUN to drive (Dinan adjustable sways, Koni adjustable fronts, Bilstein Sport rears, M-Tech springs, Dinan adjustable rear sub-frame). It certainly felt better on real streets than either the GT or the 360. That's right, I just said an e28 felt better on the road than a Ferrari.

Here's a pic of me at our Street Survival School explaining to the instructor of the student in the second pic, what the appropriate method for touching one's nose is when first introducing yourself to your student.
Here's BillW in STL and me at about 1:30 am after doing an emergency head swap on a 325.
Here's a pic of Jim (ddstl) and Kai (on right) from the same night.

Was that when Kai ran into trouble on the way out to OKC for ATC school? I remember the BMW crew out there really stepped up.

Yes, I knew it was actually you, a good looking kid... the eyes never change. The problem is that we only get so many 'pretty years' and then it's all down hill after they're gone. But hey, you're still 'cute', holding up well, so says Shelley.
