Fairly stated. But I would refer you to Corky Bell's Maximum Boost, Chapter 10, Page 126-127 in my copy, wherein he discusses the distorting effects of thermal expansion. See also a similar discussion in A.G. Bell's Forced Induction Performance Tuning, pg 261. Worth taking the time to read.

I've never had an issue with a single flange design. An individual flange per cylinder setup would be ideal but not something I care to do.

The holes on the flange are large in comparison to studs.
There's 1/16" of clearance all around the studs.

There is a lot more room in the E28.

O.k wastegate dump tubes complete and went for a test drive.It was very short lived to say the least, afr's were on the lean side due to more air flow but I floored it in 3rd and blew something in the tranny instantly. :lol:

I would think it's from the larger turbo, going from a 59mm inducer to a 66mm the air flow at lower speeds should be greater.

O.k back in action, swapped out the tranny and all is good, roads were wet so no full throttle action. Need to do some tuning and dyno time to see if all my efforts were worth it.

24psi yesterday but it doesn't feel like it's faster, I think the engine can't take anymore air in.

I never updated the cage install, but it's all done now.

Looking awesome dude. Personally I would make those wastegate tubes slightly longer to dump under the car....its gonna get really hot in that fenderwell, no need to set the undercoating on fire :)

Well after quite a few attempts to tune with the HX55 I've decided to down size the turbo. The twinscroll manifold spools it fast for it's size but the torque ramps up so fast it's going to murder me as traction is non existent at any speed at full throttle.

So going to try the BW S300sx 91/79, it's equivalent to a GT4088/94.
It's not the latest and greatest but for $$ it will get the job done. I was concerned about the size but it's similar to the 6466 with the compressor housing being 1" wider.
The BW weighs in at 27.5lbs and the 6466 at 23.5lbs

Thats what I saw with the HX55. Spun drag slicks in 3rd at 5000 RPM.

Went out tonight after over a year, with the new manifold & turbo setup to stretch it's legs on 18psi.
My buddy has 2012 CTSV with a tune, upper pulley, heat exchanger it's pretty fast and just wanted to see were he was at.

Here's a 3rd gear roll at 50mph to 140, I cant hear his horn so I wait for him to go on both runs.

Here's a 2nd gear roll at 40 to 150, I spun but my buddy stays in it knowing that I'll be chasing him down.
