Quick Q, when you were running in the 4-450 HP range, this was on an B34 block with M90 head, correct? Do you have any idea what kind of compression ratio you were running? I know B35 is about 9.0 to 1, and I think I could make a tad more HP with less lag on a twin scroll manifold.

I previously had a HX40 powered 302 in a volvo 740... I find it hilarious that I could have made more power more reliably with this old boat anchor.

Yes, still running the B34/M90 head, I would guess the compression is 8.1. I believe the M90 head is nothing but a B34 head.

Finally mounted the goPro and went for a little test run. I have a few more vids to upload if you guys want to see them.

It's a 2.93, getting from point A to B happens fairly quick.

How streetable is that beast? How would such an engine perform in a loaded E34? I'm getting a '92 535i5 that I hope could be a refined yet potent street killer, maybe 350-450hp? Sounds like you're the man with the plan!

Correct me if im wrong but your tires are on the wrong side..... Either way, Otis, you are a driving force to keep me going at my e30m30, i finally got it back together with a new tranny after nuking mine at 28psi and 600cc water meth, i pulled it apart to see the insides and verify that it was infact the tranny that had the knocking sound and i found the gears melted together. Still looking to put down a good pass or 2 this year.

New personal best. Re-furbished the front suspension and added coil overs with new front runners. Also added a 75 shot of nitrous and took it real well 9's are close....!

Thanks, I refurbished the front end, new control arms, tie rods, shocks, coil overs, new front skinnies. Did the alignment with a set of jack stands and string, toed in 1/8".
Was surprised myself how straight it went...! Going to shoot for 9's this year, would be incredible to do it on this junk yard M30 motor:lol:eyecrazy

Thanks Acho, I had 4 lug to 5 lug adapters made. They are a 5 lug Ford bolt pattern.

Borg Warner SX300 91/79 divided housing.

Long time without any updates, car is running flawless, so I've had the itch to freshen up the front end appearance wise and shed some weight.

Really didn't have a game plan, just started taking the front end off and grabbed the sawzall.

Here's what it's looked like for over 5 years, old E21 chopped up BBS spoiler.


How this thing stayed on at 160+mph by 6 self tapping is beyond me.




Draining coolant...just water with some water wetter.






Then the cutting began...








Welded one plate on, and ran out of mig wire, called it day.


Here's the replacement for the front. It will need a good amount of work once I cut away half of it for the intercooler.

Luckily I'm a parts hoarder and had some stuff laying around.
Welded on the frame extensions, need some more tubing to complete it.

Been running a E34 2.5 radiator for 5+ years now, surprisingly with no cooling issues. Had this E28 3.4 unit laying around, so now is the time to put it to use, luckily I didn't toss it out. The only draw back is it has no expansion tank.



To solve the expansion tank problem I had this M20 one laying around. Here's it's new resting place. Had to rotate the BOV 180* to make it fit.
