Calling all Two-Stroke Fans....

Goldie is headed to the KingCast Garages this week! I consider this a mature decision because this keeps me from buying a 996. At least for the moment.
'72 DS7 with RD350 heads and a bunch of other fun shit. What I really dig is the chrome dust caps over the fork seals. When I was 20 I bought an RD350 B, orange. It was mint condition like this one. It was 10 years old in 1985 and it cost me all of $350 because that was "the formula" back then, a buck-a-cc. It had rubber covers and updated styling that all of us wanted at the time. Now I look at them side by side and say "Gosh, I really like the older one more!"

Here's the Rub: I checked the inflation calculator. $350 then vs. now is $831.24. I wish to God this bike only cost $831.24 LOL..... Ahh, the Good Ol' Days.... Anyway, she sure is pretty. And she sounds AMAZING.

ring-ding-ding-ding. :) Nice bike.

I have a Suzuki GT750 triple that's been sitting in the corner of the garage for ages, at this point it's probably going to be a retirement project.

Sweet bike, id love to get myself a vintage 2 stroke bike. A yamaha rz350 would be sweet but they are not the easiest to find. Well atleast for the price i want to pay

i have an 01 yz250 for the motocross track that will surface till i find something street legal, although in Az you can make anything street legal so the possibles for cr500 engine swaps are endless

Awesome bike! I love the sound of these, and it appears it has Bassani expansion chambers? Must sound wicked.

I still have a 1975 CanAm MX2 motocross bike I bought new. Totally original. I love 2-strokes and especially this rotary valve 125...7-11,000 RPM and keep snicking gears as fast as you can. :)

Hahahaa... my buddies at TwinLine had one a couple years ago, below. Nothing like a two-stroke touring bike, they say.

Also before Aurora Suzuki closed and Triumph took over a few years ago I interviewed Randy, the original owner. A water buffalo makes a crossing at about 1:05 in, followed by some on-road footage of the Rotary. Remember THAT???

To each his own I know, the Harley blat, blat, blat is enormously popular, but give me the sweet sound of the two stroke, ring ding ding ding anytime. Now that's music. Those were fun bikes. :D

Goldie's a beaut! That looks like a lifetime keeper. Love it. What is Kingcast? Sorry to thread jack but I thought since this is where the two stoke love is it might be appropriate to post here. I keep this pic in my garage to remind myself of my ringding days. First bike at 17. Unfortunately the oil pump stopped pumping and she seized. The back wheel locked up luckily at about 40 MPH, I pulled the clutch and that was it. I wasn't mechanical at all then, just slightly less than now

Dave Grayson were you en Canada or something back then? 'Cos it sure wasn't no Elsies in the U.S. to my knowledge...
I was riding a mint '75 RD in '85 undergrad. Then no smokers again until last year I got an RZ but turns out she had piston slap and went away, sold her for a Good Buck though. Get on back in The Game mate. BTW KingCast is just my blog and video alter ego.

Actually that reminds me I need to update my signature LOL.

There's an RD group too but I tend to hang out on the RZ board. Pepper was not so sure what to do with this nonsense:

Yes I've lived in Canada my whole life. I didn't know the elsie wasn't in the US? I figured they were everywhere .
