Is a BMW 5908 radio plug-and-play?

Hello,

I have a 1988 535is that has the original radio wiring and came with a 5907 radio. It had the fader control in the dash to the left of the radio, etc.

Would a 5908 radio (with the slider) be plug-and-play?
